Palkeet has more than one hundred ongoing projects in their project portfolio. They typically work on joint projects with multiple parties participating the project. Before moving to Silverbucket Palkeet had project allocation plans in a separate Excel spreadsheet. An overview of team allocations in multiple concurrent projects was hard to assemble and maintain, says Nisse Rimpilä from Palkeet project services.
In the beginning of 2015 Palkeet selected Silverbucket as their solution for project resourcing. "The rollout was rapid and straightforward, and there was no need for heavy training sessions. Silverbucket was introduced first in rollout projects and based on gained experience it's been expanded to other projects also", states Rimpilä.
With a better resourcing tool Palkeet seeks a clearer picture of their resourcing plans and more accuracy to predictability. Another goal was to make any possible resourcing risks or allocation overloads visible. According to Rimpilä these goals have been fulfilled well. "The co-operation with Silverbucket has been extremely agile and flexible. The product is been updated constantly based on customer feedback and new ideas have been developed and rolled out quickly."
